Paul is now the Vice-President of GAV/MAC.
Sculpture Trail – 10,000 pounds of produce was donated by the farm stand.
Old Business
Status of the Corner Lot and the Agraria Sculpture- Art agreed to a three year lease and the removal of vandalism insurance. John sent the updated contract to Art. We are just waiting for Art to sign the new version and return it.
Dave made a motion to authorize John to sign the license agreement, when or if Mr. & Mrs. Torano sign it. Paul 2nd. All in favor.
Agraria Sculpture- We need to have proper insurance before it leaves the property it is currently on. Sherman & Sons LLC. Gave an estimate for a total of $21,500, to remove and transport, Demo and prep for crane, crane service, transport, build a platform for the sculpture, and have a welder on-site. The Sculpture Trail account is about $7500.00 short to transport the sculpture as of this date.
The Mural – Max field is going to paint the mural. He is an artist from Petaluma. The cost will be $34,625.00, for a hand painted mural replacing the current one by the corner lot. Victoria did look into a bill -board but the permanent hand painted mural is a better choice. Geyserville is originally part of Rancho Tzabaco and we want to make sure all parts of the community are represented in the mural project. Is the mural going to be historical or current?
Dave motioned to allocate up to $5000.00 for concept development of the Geyserville mural, Staci 2nd. All in favor.
Odd Fellows Hall update – The Grand Marshall of the Odd Fellows wants to know how the Odd Fellows will still exist in the building and how they will incorporate more members. Odd Fellows has to have the property appraised to see if it could be sold and they buy another suitable piece of property in Geyserville.
Business Cards – We can get business cards with our QR code for convenient donations for $42.00. Anna motioned to allow Kyle to order the business cards, Dave 2nd it. All in favor.
December appeal – Dave noted to clarify Boys & Girls Club of Sonoma County on the Appeal letter. We should put the letter on our website with a PDF. John is going to send the letters to homeowners whose mailing address is in San Francisco as well. Some of the houses in Geyserville are second homes.
New Business- Geyserville Chamber is going to host a gathering with all the Geyserville committees to see what we are all doing and the plans we all have for the upcoming year, “Geyserville Together. It is beneficial for us all to work together so everyone can be represented and we do not over- lap each other.
For the Good of the Order Victoria mentioned Stephanie Freeli, who works at the Alexander Valley School, might be willing to write grants for GFC, especially ones that include children and art projects.
